The design of this apartment in Poznań’s Jeżyce district is based on a simple, consistent color palette. Cream walls, soft fabrics, and light kitchen surfaces are juxtaposed with a deep, dark wood grain. This contrast resonates throughout the apartment, bringing order to the space – from the entryway, through the living area, to the bedroom and bathroom. Its character is built on proportions, materials, and light – elements that remain relevant regardless of seasonal trends.
This interior doesn’t attempt to be spectacular. Its strength lies in the proportions, materials, and serenity of the composition. This is an apartment designed for everyday life—one in which design is present but doesn’t dominate the residents’ lives.

One of the design’s key motifs is visible right in the hallway: dark wood cabinetry. Doors and closets are concealed within its structure, maintaining visual calm. A niche integrated into the cabinet fronts, featuring subtle lighting, acts like a small stage—a discreet detail that transforms the interior’s character.
Beyond the hallway, the apartment opens up into the living area, designed as a single, fluid space. The kitchen features light, neutral tones. Simple cabinet fronts, subtle flush handles, and a delicate fluted wall texture create a serene backdrop for daily rituals. The focal point of this area is a round dark-wood table, surrounded by chairs with sculptural, softly contoured backrests.
Further along, a soft sofa and low tables with stone tops introduce additional texture and material weight to the interior, contrasting with a slender, organically shaped lamp. Natural light streaming through large windows washes softly over light-colored walls and curtains, highlighting the grain of the wood and stone, while in the evening, the atmosphere is shaped by accent lighting—discreet lamps, illuminated niches, and subtle spotlights.
The bedroom maintains a consistent style with the rest of the apartment. Soft fabrics, gentle lighting, and a subdued color palette featuring abundant dark wood create an environment conducive to relaxation.
The bathroom showcases one of the design’s most striking material features: a custom-made stone washbasin integrated into the countertop. Its distinctive veining—set against dark cabinetry—contrasts with light tiles and smooth mirror surfaces, creating a composition that is bold yet restrained.
